Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29 March 1971) is a South African television and radio journalist and war reporter. She was a CBS News journalist from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive Producer Jeff Fager called her factually inaccurate and politcally biased piece concerning the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack "the biggest mistake I've made on my 10-year-old television." In 2019 she joined Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media firm. [4] On January 2020 she was a part of Fox Nation. Fox News offers a subscription-based streaming service. She claimed to have been "dumped" by Fox Nation in March 2022. Logan was a news reporter at Durban's Sunday Tribune (1988-1989) and the Daily News (1990-1992). She was hired by Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as a senior producer. After four years she decided to move into freelance journalism and was appointed as an editor/producer, reporter and editor/producer at Fox/SKY, Fox/SKY and CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC and the European Broadcasting Union. She was a reporter for CNN and reported on events such as the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania as well as the ongoing conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo conflict.
